Discovering the world playfully

Discover is FIRST LEGO League's entry-level program for children in preschool age (recommended for ages 4-6). In a playful and fun way, it sparks children's natural curiosity and promotes their engagement with science and technology through activities with LEGO® DUPLO®.

Who can
participate
in Discover?

Groups
of up to 24 Children

Your FIRST LEGO League Discover group can be affiliated with an educational institution such as a kindergarten, preschool or library, a club, or a family. Accompanied by at least one adult (e.g. educator or parent), the children meet regularly for at least 10 weeks in an activity, privately with friends or as a neighborhood project to explore and build. The adult registers the group, supervises it and helps to prepare an exhibition for families and other children.

Division into Teams
of up to 4 Children

To ensure that the children can concentrate on the tasks, the group is divided into teams of up to 4 children, each working with a Discover Set. The different teams regularly come together as a whole group during the meetings and present their progress to each other. In the final exhibition, all teams present their models and have fun working together on challenges.

Family
Engagement

In addition to tinkering together in the group, the children receive materials to take home to continue their playful learning and research with their families. With the interactive Discover More Game, the fun never ends!
