Want to experience the FIRST LEGO League Finals up close? Join us as a volunteer at the grand season finale in Siegen! We’re still looking for support, especially as Reviewers for Explore Teams and Judges for Challenge Teams.
The FIRST LEGO League Finals for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland mark the highlight of the season and are an unforgettable event! From March 28 to 30, 2025, 30 Challenge Teams and 15 Explore Teams will gather in Siegen to celebrate the exciting world of STEM and robotics. Thanks to our fantastic partners and sponsors, we have three days of creativity, teamwork, and thrilling competition in store. Under the theme SUBMERGED, you can expect fascinating insights into the underwater world, as well as many surprises throughout the three-day program.

International Competitions
Some Challenge teams from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland have the chance to qualify for international competitions, where they can showcase their achievements and connect with teams from around the world. Major events include the FIRST Championship in Houston (USA), the Open International Championship in Greece, the Open Africa Championship in South Africa, and many more. The exact number of qualification spots varies each year, depending on the number of slots allocated by the organizers.

Current Challenge Updates
In the SUBMERGED season of FIRST LEGO League, the German Robot Game rules and current Challenge updates are binding for all competitions across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. These guidelines form the basis for scoring and decision-making throughout the region. The latest Challenge update, from October 4, 2024, includes essential adjustments affecting both the Robot Game missions and the judging process.

Strong Season Kickoff: FIRST LEGO League Teams and Classes are getting Ready to Go!
The registration phase for FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams has concluded with the end of October. We are excited to announce that 744 teams are registered this season and will participate in a total of 56 competitions. The primary school program Explore is also very popular, with 274 teams already signed up for 56 exhibitions. By the way, Explore teams can continue to register until four weeks before their exhibition date.

Starting in Spring 2025, we are excited to offer a series of professional development workshops for educators, organized by HANDS on TECHNOLOGY e.V. in collaboration with VDI-Garage in Leipzig.
