  • Improvement of STEM Education
Schools receive inspiration through the FIRST LEGO League to make their lessons more practical, interdisciplinary, and creative, thereby enhancing the quality of STEM education.
  • Sustainable Learning with Future Perspectives
The program imparts knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and encourages career orientation in the STEM field in schools.
  • Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
Our participants learn to understand complex connections and find solutions to problems, preparing them for responsible actions in the future.

Our STEM program, FIRST LEGO League, has a lasting impact! We collect quantitative data for our impact representation through the registration data of teams and classes. To measure the qualitative impact, we use an online survey at the end of each season, complemented by short reports, interviews, and anecdotes, which provide us with valuable insights into the individual development and enthusiasm of the participants.

"I first encountered the FIRST LEGO League seven years ago and was immediately impressed by the concept. From an educational perspective, it’s a real success! The children have the opportunity to solve very complex tasks without even realizing it, and they experience research like little engineers. What fascinates me the most is seeing the development of the children and their joy in discovering new things."

Sabrina Chapuis, Coach of a FIRST LEGO League Explore Team, Switzerland

"Amidst the snow-covered mountains around Davos, this finale was undoubtedly something truly special. For the teams, it was a unique experience to present their projects in such a renowned congress center, which is usually the venue for significant global discussions. As a judge who had been part of several competitions during the season, it was fascinating to observe how the teams had developed. At the same time, it was exciting to meet new teams who brought fresh, innovative ideas and enriched the dynamics of the competition."

Jakub Stříbrný, FIRST LEGO League Challenge Judge and former team member, Developer, Berlin

"Through the organization of the event combined with teacher training, new teams have been established at schools over the past 10 years, and the area of robotics clubs has been strengthened in schools."

Sandra Blum, Regional Partner from Fulda

"The project and the children at our school are simply incredible! For the past three seasons, they have been eagerly participating in FIRST LEGO League Explore. What started as a small team with six children has now grown to 15 teams from the 4th grade. And we want to grow even further – our goal is to have 25 teams from the first to the fourth grade. The children's interest is simply enormous! For me, it is overwhelming to see how much joy and intrinsic motivation the children have at school and in the after-school care!"

David Uhlig, Educator, After-School Care at Grundschule am Leutzscher Holz, Leipzig
