At all FIRST LEGO League events in the D-A-CH region, we strive to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment. All volunteers at events are made aware of our awareness principles and measures. Please pay attention to the awareness information and support available at your regional event.
What Does Awareness Mean?
Awareness means creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and heard. It includes being mindful of issues such as discrimination, violence, stress, or conflict, while actively promoting a culture of listening, empathy, and shared responsibility.
Goals of the Awareness Concept
Everyone should feel comfortable and welcome at the regional exhibition and regional tournament. Event organizers are committed to creating a safe environment.
The event is intended to provide protection from discrimination, harassment, and inappropriate behavior.
We encourage everyone to treat each other with respect.
Be mindful of diversity and the different needs of others.
We are committed to building a strong sense of community where everyone feels welcome.
All judges, referees, and reviewers are informed about awareness principles and sensitized to the topic.
