What is
FIRST LEGO League?

FIRST LEGO League is an international educational program. It was initiated in 1998 by the American foundation FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and the LEGO company. In  Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the non-profit organization HANDS on TECHNOLOGY e.V. organizes the educational program.

FIRST LEGO League, with its two offerings Explore and Challenge, accompanies and inspires students over several years and has a lasting impact on their STEM, teamwork and communication skills.

We are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year! It has always been our mission and passion to inspire children and young people for technology, science and teamwork. At FIRST LEGO League events, we celebrate the successes and results of teams and classes. Discover where FIRST LEGO League is happening near you. To the venues

Come on in!

FIRST LEGO League allows you to participate as a school team or class, as well as an extracurricular or private group. Form a team or decide to participate as a class. You can register your team or class from the end of April. The real action starts in August when the seasonal tasks are published and the materials are sent out. Then it's time for you to build, program and research. At the end of the season, teams participate in an official FIRST LEGO League event. Classes will host an end-of-season event within the school.
