Welcome
Young Explorers.
Great Impact.
During the BIOGLOWTM season, children set off on an exciting journey of discovery through the rainforest. They learn about different plants and animals, bring their own ideas to life with LEGO elements, and discover how everything in nature is connected.
The materials guide children through the season step by step, with a variety of building and play activities, creative prompts, and plenty of room for their own ideas.
Season Journey
Your guide through the season: You don’t need to piece the different materials together into a sequence yourselves. The Engineering Notebook guides the children step by step through the 10 sessions. In the LEGO Education Teacher Portal, you’ll find the corresponding presentations and guidance for coaches and teachers.
As a guideline, you can plan around 60 to 90 minutes for each session. Depending on your group and the activity, some sessions may take less or a little more time. Make sure the children have plenty of time to build, experiment, and develop their ideas further.
Engineering Notebook
Guides children through the season and provides plenty of space for drawings, notes, and their own ideas.
LEGO Education Teacher Portal
Ready-to-use presentations and guidance for coaches and teachers – tailored to each session.
Explore & Build
Across 10 sessions, discovery gradually turns into hands-on creativity: children learn about the rainforest and its inhabitants, build the BIOGLOWTM season models, and work together on small building and play activities. Along the way, they develop their own ideas and try out different approaches.
Discover and Learn
Children learn about plants, animals, and their habitats and discover how everything is connected.
Build and Explore
Using LEGO elements, children build their own models, try out their ideas, and work together on creative challenges.
Develop Ideas Together
Children bring their ideas together, find solutions as a team, and discover what they can achieve together.
Team Model & Team Poster
Throughout the season, the children create a team model and a team poster together. These show what they have learned about the rainforest and discovered on their BIOGLOWTM journey.
Team Model
Your team model shows a team of scientists making exciting discoveries in the rainforest. Create a model that shows what you have learned and discovered during your BIOGLOWTM journey. You can freely use the elements from the Season Set and bring your own ideas to life. The finished model should include:
- a place where scientists conduct research
- a plant or animal being studied
- a tool used to study plants or animals
- a motor and sensor from the Computer Science & AI Kit, creatively incorporated into your model
Team Poster
On your team poster, you can capture what you discovered, learned, and experienced together during your BIOGLOWTM journey. You can decide what your poster looks like and which materials you want to use. Use pictures, drawings, and your own ideas to bring your experiences to life. It can show:
- what you have learned about the rainforest
- which plants and animals you have learned about
- your favourite BIOGLOWTM experiences
- how you worked together as a team
- your own ideas and drawings
Season Wrap-Up
Make your BIOGLOWTM journey one to remember!
There are no regional events for Future Edition 5+ this season, so you can create your own season wrap-up at your school or institution. Use this opportunity to celebrate the children’s achievements together. At a small celebration, they can share their team model and team poster, talk about their discoveries, and show others what they enjoyed most during the season. How big or small you make your season wrap-up is entirely up to you – what matters is giving the children the opportunity to share what they have discovered, built, and learned together.
Here’s one idea for your season wrap-up: Invite parents, other groups, or classes, set up a small exhibition with the team model and team poster, and give the children the opportunity to present their favourite models and discoveries.
