The FIRST LEGO League BIOGLOW™ season takes children an young people on an exciting journey through the fascinating ecosystems of our world. Teams explore how nature, technology, and innovation are connected while developing creative solutions to real-world challenges.
FIRST LEGO League inspires young people around the world to engage with STEM subjects. Using LEGO Education technology, teams build, program, and test their own robots while researching the season theme. Teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving are at the heart of the experience.
Registration for the BIOGLOW™ season opens on May 19, 2026 and offers two editions:
BIOGLOW Future Edition with the programs Future Edition 5+ (Grades 1–3) and Future Edition 8+ (Grades 4–10), based on LEGO Education Computer Science & AI.
BIOGLOW Founders Edition with the programs Explore (Grades 1–4) and Challenge (Grades 5–10), based on LEGO Education SPIKE.

2026/27 Season Calendar
Registrations Opens
Groups and teams can register for the BIOGLOW™ Season 2026/27 starting May 19, 2026 — for both the Future Edition 8+ and the Founders Edition with Explore and Challenge.
Kickoff
on August 4
On August 4, the BIOGLOW™ challenges will be released worldwide. From that moment on, groups and teams begin their exciting project journey: building, programming, researching, and testing innovative solutions to the season challenges.
Material Shipping Begins
from August 5
Season materials are shipped by default after the summer holidays. An earlier shipment can be requested optionally, but no earlier than August 5.

Events
from November to April
From November 2026 to April 2027, the season’s final events will take place, including Future Edition events, Explore exhibitions, and Challenge tournaments.
Teams will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, present their projects, and compete with other teams.
D-A-CH Final
April 2027
In April 2027, the major FIRST LEGO League Final for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will take place. The best Future Edition 8+ and Challenge teams from across the DACH region will come together to present their results and celebrate the end of the season.
