Future Edition – Latest Updates

by Stefanie Sieber

The Future Edition is gaining momentum! The first demonstration at the Didacta workshop on March 11, 2026 in Germany marked another milestone in the rollout: 16 participants from across Germany brought many questions, fresh perspectives, and enthusiasm, experiencing the Future Edition hands-on for the first time.

The next opportunities to explore the Future Edition are at the Leipzig Finale and the FIRST Championship Showcase in early May. In the coming weeks and months, many LEGO Education partners will offer teacher training sessions and webinars on the new LEGO Education Computer Science & AI Set – a great chance to get expert tips and first-hand updates.

From May 12, 2026, groups and classes aged 8–16 can register for the FIRST LEGO League Future Edition. Small groups of up to 8 students, as well as full classes of 16, 24, or more, are welcome. Participation in regional events is optional. For the 2026/27 season, 6–8 regional events in Germany are planned, as well as one event each in Switzerland and Austria. We will provide more details and exact dates as soon as they are confirmed.
