We’re thrilled to have the invaluable support of a dedicated team of category experts from our volunteer community, who work closely with us at headquarters. These experts are the direct voice of the community, offering guidance to our regional partners and teams alike. With their deep expertise, they ensure high-quality assessments in the Challenge categories and uphold the high standards of FIRST LEGO League across the DACH region.

We’re proud to introduce this team of experienced, passionate volunteers who play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the judging process. They are key contacts for questions, help train judges and referees, and ensure that the values and quality standards of FIRST LEGO League are reliably implemented. Each expert brings years of experience as team members, coaches, or regional partners, as well as seasoned judges and referees, including experience in international FIRST LEGO League events.

Leon is our point of contact for the Research area. With a keen eye for creativity and innovation, he ensures that teams’ research projects are evaluated with depth and inspiration. In the Core Values category, Luise is your expert, emphasizing the program’s key values—such as teamwork, inclusion, and fun—and supporting the jury in highlighting these values with her passion and expertise. Thomas is our Robotic Design expert: with his technical skills and problem-solving abilities, he guides the jury in appreciating teams’ creative ideas and technical solutions. For the Robot Game, we rely on Fabian’s expertise. He brings clarity and fairness to the robotics competition, answers rule inquiries, and supports the referee teams in the DACH region with his solid knowledge and clear guidelines.

At the same time, we bid farewell to Lisa-Grace, who has co-led the referee team with Fabian over the past two years with dedication and enthusiasm. Her energy and commitment have strengthened the community and contributed greatly to the success of our referees. We’re delighted, however, that Grace will continue to support us as an experienced volunteer on a regional level.
