Midpoint in the Training Series – Perfect for All Newcomers!

by Stefanie Sieber

Our FIRST LEGO League training series at the VDI-GaraGe Leipzig started with full energy—and the first six workshops were a complete success! Many participants from schools, after-school care, and out-of-school education have familiarized themselves with the program in recent weeks and laid the foundation for their role as coaches.

The training is especially designed for beginners—future coaches with little or no experience in FIRST LEGO League. The goal is to make your start as easy as possible: with clear explanations, hands-on exercises, and plenty of room for your questions.

What to expect:

  • Building & programming first robots with LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential or PrimeIntroduction to structure & content of FIRST LEGO League – Explore & Challenge
  • Gallery walk about the coach role: What awaits me? What support is available?
  • Exchange with other beginners and practical tips for starting with your own team
  • Whether elementary school, secondary school, or out-of-school learning location—this training gets you well prepared for the 2024/25 UNEARTHED season.

📆 Four more sessions will start in autumn—each in three compact modules, practical and enthusiastic! All info & registration as well as additional workshops in cooperation with partners here: www.first-lego-league.org/en/divisions/courses.

Many thanks to our partners VDI-GaraGe gGmbH, TÜV SÜD Foundation, and the dedicated workshop team on site—for expertise, enthusiasm, and a great learning atmosphere!

We look forward to many new coaches and teams—and are happy to support you in entering the world of FIRST LEGO League!
